Rental prices and the 48-hour system
How is the rental price calculated – what does the 48-hour system mean?
The SOH rental in Prague 4 charges rental for every started two days (48 hours), and each listed price applies to one item for 48 hours. You can keep the equipment for up to 56 hours at no extra charge – handy for weekend events – and every additional day costs only 50 % of the listed price. All rental prices include 21 % VAT, and cabling, adapters and extension cables are lent free of charge.
What equipment can I rent from the SOH rental in Prague?

Are rental prices listed with or without VAT?
All prices at the SOH rental in Prague 4 are quoted including 21 % VAT, with no hidden costs. The listed price always covers one item for a 48-hour rental period, and all cabling, adapters and extension cables needed to connect the equipment are included free of charge, so the price you see in the catalogue is the price you actually pay.
How do I find out how much a specific speaker or light costs to rent?
The rental price is listed with every item in the catalogue at www.soh.cz/en/rental and in the online reservation system at pronajem.soh.cz, which immediately calculates the total price for your chosen dates. Each price covers one item for 48 hours and already includes 21 % VAT. If you are unsure what to choose, the SOH rental will advise you at +420 272 272 501.
Do I pay extra for cables, adapters and extension leads?
No. All cabling, adapters and extension cables are lent together with the equipment free of charge at the SOH rental in Prague 4. This applies to standard pickups at the branch at Antala Staška 242/14 as well as to orders delivered and installed by the SOH team, where cabling and adapters are also included in the price.
Reservations, ordering and payment
How do I reserve sound or lighting equipment at SOH?
You can reserve equipment from the SOH rental in Prague 4 in five ways: online in the reservation system at pronajem.soh.cz, by e-mail at pronajem@soh.cz, by phone at +420 272 272 501, by building an equipment list in the StageLights app, or through the Gemini SOH AI assistant. Every reservation is personally checked, availability is verified and you receive a confirmation with instructions.
Can I prepare my rental inquiry with an AI assistant?
Yes. The Gemini SOH AI assistant helps you design the equipment for your type of event, visualise the scene and prepare and submit the inquiry right away. You can also build your setup in the StageLights app, which offers an equipment catalogue, AI visualisation and a shareable list. Every AI-prepared inquiry is afterwards personally checked by the SOH rental staff.
Do you charge a fee if I cancel my reservation?
No. The SOH rental in Prague 4 charges no cancellation fees for reservations. You can therefore book sound and lighting equipment for your event well in advance, and if your plans change, simply cancel by e-mail at pronajem@soh.cz or by phone at +420 272 272 501 without paying anything.
How can I pay for the rental?
You can pay in cash on pickup at the SOH branch at Antala Staška 242/14, Prague 4, by payment card at the branch, or by bank transfer to the Fio banka account 2600287139/2010 (IBAN CZ2720100000002600287139). When paying by bank transfer, please allow enough time for the payment to be credited before your pickup date.

What are the opening hours of the SOH rental branch in Prague 4?

Where do I pick up the rented equipment?
You pick up rented equipment at the SOH rental branch at Antala Staška 242/14, 140 00 Prague 4, Czech Republic. The staff demonstrate everything on site and teach you the basics of operating the sound or lighting equipment, so you know how to set it up at your event. Equipment is returned to the same address, always by 18:00.
Is there parking at the SOH rental branch?
Yes. Free parking is available right next to the entrance of the SOH rental branch at Antala Staška 242/14, Prague 4, and the branch has three parking spaces reserved for customers. This makes it convenient to load heavier equipment such as speakers, lighting packages or truss structures into your car at pickup and return.
When do I have to return the rented equipment?
You can always return rented equipment by 18:00, regardless of what time you picked it up. Within the standard rental you may keep the equipment for up to 56 hours without any surcharge, and each additional day beyond that is charged at only 50 % of the listed 48-hour price at the SOH rental in Prague 4.
Can I keep the equipment over the weekend without paying extra?
Yes. Although the SOH rental charges per started 48 hours, you may keep the equipment for up to 56 hours at no extra charge, which typically covers a whole weekend event. If you need the equipment longer, each additional day costs only 50 % of the listed price, and long-term rentals are offered with an individual discount.
Can I try the equipment before my event?
Yes. The staff of the SOH rental in Prague 4 demonstrate all sound and lighting equipment directly at the branch at Antala Staška 242/14 and teach you the basics of operation before you take it away. Many regular customers have gradually moved from simple setups to professional systems thanks to this hands-on introduction.
Delivery, shipping and installation
How much do delivery and installation by SOH cost in Prague?
Delivery and installation of rented equipment in Prague by the SOH team start at approximately CZK 1,200 including VAT, and collection of the equipment after the event costs CZK 800. Can you ship rented equipment by courier?
Yes. The SOH rental ships equipment via GLS for parcels up to 30 kg at CZK 450 including VAT for transport there and back, or via TOPTRANS for heavier shipments. Send your order by e-mail to pronajem@soh.cz, you will receive a quote, and after confirmation and payment the equipment is shipped to your address; SOH also arranges the return collection. Is there a surcharge for delivery late at night or early in the morning?
Yes. If SOH delivers or collects rented equipment outside the hours of 9:00–21:00, a surcharge of CZK 400 including VAT is added. Within those hours the standard rates apply: delivery and installation in Prague from approximately CZK 1,200 and equipment collection for CZK 800, both including VAT.
Can I book a DJ together with the rented equipment?
Yes. Alongside sound and lighting equipment rental, the SOH rental in Prague offers a DJ for your party from CZK 2,000 including VAT. The DJ can be combined with SOH delivery and installation, which in Prague starts at approximately CZK 1,200, with equipment collection afterwards for CZK 800. Discounts, shows and related services
What discounts does the SOH rental offer?
The SOH rental in Prague 4 offers a loyalty discount for regular customers from the third completed rental, a 10 % discount on the whole rental for placing an SOH banner at your event (see the banner discount page), every additional rental day at only 50 % of the price, and seasonal promotions published on the website. Long-term rentals are priced with an individual discount.
Can SOH arrange a complete light show controlled by music?
Yes. Besides standard rental, SOH provides a complete light show based on its patented LTCA technology used in the software DMX Music Visualization, which automatically controls DMX512 lighting directly by the music in real time. SOH handles one-off events as well as long-term installations. The software runs on a regular Windows PC; a Free licence with 24 DMX channels is available for non-commercial use, and paid licences start at CZK 1,990 at eshop.soh.cz.
Do you offer logo projection or a laser show?
Yes. The SOH rental offers projection of a company logo by laser, spotlight or projector (gobo), plus laser rental and a turnkey laser show with full-colour RGB lasers controlled via DMX or ILDA.
